I’ve heard that it works by cycling cold air from the basement into the house therby keeping the Air Conditioner off. Is this true? Or does running the fan constently burn more energy than it saves?

I have heard that you can save on your energy bill by unplugging such things as computers, TV’s, & major appliances (no, not fridge or freezer!) if you are going to be away from home for awhile. Does anyone know if this is true, what kind of savings are we talking here? Also, would really like links to any sites that discuss such things. (Please don’t just tell me to Google it, I know that much already.) Thanks!

Not energy like as in body energy, like energy as in what we use. People tell you to save it, So why do we have to if we can’t loose it?

I am trying so hard to keep my bills down. Would it save much energy if I turned my A/C down to about 74 or 76 and then had my ceiling fan on high in the living room and a circulating fan upstairs? (I live in a smaller townhouse). Or is that defeating the purpose?

What evidence is there to support your opinion whether we do save, or if we don’t.

When did we start daylights saving and what besides energy conservation, is a good reason to have this?

Thank you. =)
